Ouch!

In late Jauary, Nate was heading to the Bountiful Rec. Center to take the boys to Jr. Jazz.  I had been planning to go, like I usually did, but for some reason that morning I was dragging along and just wasn't ready to go in time so Lauryn and I stayed at home.

It was a little foggy and wet that morning.  As Nate headed East over the overpass in West Bountiful, a Chrysler Crossfire ran the stop sign on the off ramp of I-15 and T-boned Nate and the boys in the Expedition.  The car hit the Expedition right in the passenger side door, where I would have been sitting.

The damage wasn't horrible, the Expedition is a tank, but it wasn't drive-able. So it was towed to a body shop and it will be a few weeks getting all the parts in to repair it.

This pic shows the opposite side of where it was hit so you can't see the damage.

The accident wasn't too bad, but it could have been much worse.  Had I gone with them that morning like I was planning to, I would have been sitting in the passenger seat where the impact was.  It could have been tragic, being 6 months pregnant.  The insurance company has been a huge pain to work with and it's been very frustrating, but we are just grateful that everyone walked away with no injuries and that Heavenly Father was watching over our little family that morning.
