The boys have been begging us to play Jr. Jazz for a long time. Now that they were finally old enough to play, we signed them up. They were SO excited and couldn't wait for it to start.
On the first day when we got there, we walked into the Rec center and got their jerseys and they asked why their names weren't printed on the back. I told them at least they got to choose their favorite number. Then the boys started looking around and asked where all the cameras were. I asked them to clarify and they said they wanted to know how they were going to be playing on TV if there weren't any cameras....
We had to break it to them that they were not actually playing FOR the Utah Jazz. They were just playing with other kids to practice playing basketball. And at one point, both boys asked Nate if the reason he didn't play in the NBA was because he had a bad ankle. Nate told them that's exactly why he doesn't play professional basketball;). Darn that ankle!
Warming up
Listening to instructions
Working on some moves
They loved their Jr. Jazz "season" even though they didn't make it on prime time TV.
Maybe next year.
