Nate heard about an ice fishing event at Fish Lake and it sounded like a great experience for the boys. So they loaded up the car the night before and headed out early Saturday morning along with Grandpa Monson to head to Fish Lake. When they got there, the Department of Wildlife took them to a great spot on the ice, drilled a hole in the ice for them and taught them how to ice fish. They had provided the poles, bait, hot chocolate and everything else they would need.
The boys had a great time and fished for several hours. As soon as they got home, they headed to the warm shower and got their snuggy PJs on and we cooked up their fish. It was really good. They caught around 20 different fish including Lake Trout, Pike, and Rainbow Trout.
They cleaned the plate!
