Well after a short summer, the first day of school came pretty quick! We are starting year-round this year so we are having to make some big adjustments. The boys were really excited to start school and I am trying to see the positives in starting back to school in July.
Nate gave each of the boys a blessing last night to help start off the school year on the right foot. Then the boys headed to bed as we listened to all the fireworks and fun festivities going on outside until late into the night. It was pretty depressing that we didn't get to stay up late and enjoy Pioneer day.
Here they are on their first day of school in their new outfits and new backpacks they picked out.
Lauryn, of course, wanted to be in the picture with her "guys". She is going to miss them terribly.
Here is Preston standing in line with his new class waiting to go into the school. He is WAY shorter than most of the kids in his class. Hopefully he will make some growth this year:).
Spencer lined up with his new class.

The boys said they had a great day. They saw each other at lunch and got to ride home on the bus together.
Spencer's teacher is Mrs. Endo, and his French teacher is Monsieur Pessin.
Preston has Mrs. Smith and Mademoiselle Smith.
We are looking forward to a great year!!

Oh, that STINKS! So sorry. I'm glad you are looking for the positives in this change. Saying goodbye to summer is so hard.
Changing to year round would be a huge adjustment! I hope you end up liking it.
I still have too much back-to-school shopping (just backpacks, shoes, and pants, really) to feel anywhere near "ready"...
My nephews are just so cute! I love how Preston is so short. Best of luck with the boys this school year. We keep you in our prayers.
What great kids and what great parents!
