Nate had his LAST day of school on Saturday and BYU scheduled to have the final session at Snowbird and the spouses were invited to attend for the day.
Grandpa Craig watched the kids for us that day and we headed out early that morning.
We arrived at Snowbird and checked in just before 9AM. Then we attended classes on family finances, making family a priority, and having quality leisure time and hobbies. One of the lectures was taught by Lloyd Newell from Music & The Spoken Word. He was an awesome speaker! He is really funny and had a great personality. His class was my favorite of the day.
After the last lecture, we headed up the tram to the top of the mountain. It was gorgeous and a nice break from the heat up there.
The tunnel through the mountain.
It was over 100 degrees down in the valley that day, but we were chillin' in the snow!
Nate with his entire class.
We spent a couple of hours up on the mountain walking/hiking around and then we rode the ski lift down. It was so fun riding down and even more beautiful.
After everyone got back down, we had a nice dinner/farewell program. It was fun because they had put together a really funny program. Nate has spent SO much time with these people over the last two years and it was kind of sad that they were all going their separate ways now. However; any sadness was quickly over powered with sheer joy that school was OVER!
It was a really fun day and we are SO relieved to have school over with. It hasn't felt much different lately with Nate being done with school since two days after he finished, he left for Phoenix all week:).
Nate will attend his graduation in August so I will post more about that later. We are so proud of him and so grateful that SCHOOL. IS. OVER!!!
