A Butterfly Birthday!!

Lauryn turned two!!

She started off the day with opening her water table.

After some fun outside in the water, she had her favorite breakfast. Pancakes with raspberries and whipped cream while we sang happy birthday.

Then after we got dressed, her big brother sneaked Lauryn downstairs and showed her the bike we had been saving for her to open at her party that night...he couldn't handle the suspense any longer (thank you Spencer:).

Lauryn has been asking for a bike for a long time.  We've had to drag her out of the stores kicking and screaming after we pry her little hands off all the bikes.  She loves her new bike!

Now it's time for her "buffly" party!

A new baby and baby car-seat from Grandma and Grandpa Monson

A little puppy complete with a cage from Spencer. Preston gave her some playdoh and she got lots of other fun things including a butterfly book and toys for her water table from Grandma and Papa Martin.
Checking out her "lellow" butterfly cake.
"I'll just eat this one butterfly..."
 Mmmm....
 "Maybe just one more..."

We all kept telling Lauryn "Happy Birthday" all day.  She was getting really into it by the end.  I think she felt pretty special on her big day.  After I put her to bed that night, I walked passed her room a few minutes later and heard her talking to herself.  In her little two year old voice, I could hear her say, "Happy Birthday!"

It's amazing that she has been here for two years already.  We have loved every minute of it!  She is definitely the princess in our family.  Happy Birthday Lauryn!

I LOVE THE CAKE!!! I would love to do something like that for Olivia, but lets be honest. The last time I tried one of your creations (aka dinosaur cake) it was a disaster!
She looks so darling on her big day.
