Modder's Day

Preston almost always pronounces his "th" sound as "dd". So he kept reminding me that is was "Modder's" Day.

I had a nice Mother's day. It wouldn't have taken much for it to have been better than last year (sitting in the hospital 7 1/2 months pregnant with Nate when he had his blood clots). We kicked the day off early with dinner Saturday night at Pei Wei. Then I got to sleep in Sunday morning and the boys brought me breakfast in bed. Then the boys gave me some gifts. They each made me a mug.

And Spencer made me a cute folder at school that had "coupons" inside that I can redeem. One is for him to put his toys away, one is for taking out the garbage, one is for a kiss, and one is for him to make his bed.

Then he filled out a worksheet with things about me. He said:
My mom weighs "95" lbs. and is "10" feet tall. (never been so flattered:)
Her favorite food is "brown bread."
In the good old days when mom was little, she "crawled and spit up."
I wish Mom would "play with me".
I wouldn't trade Mom for "money".

Preston painted a flower pot at preschool and then planted a flower in it and gave it to me. He also make me a beautiful picture of him and Spencer giving me hearts.

After church, all my boys made me dinner. I requested crab. Nate made me some crab, lobster, and sword fish. It was all delicious. Then we ended the day with visiting our moms.

The only bad thing about Mother's day... is I wish it came more often than once a year:). Thanks to my wonderful family for giving me such a nice day! I love you all!

Cute! I love homemade gifts and those are adorable. I especially love the picture with the boys giving you hearts! I didn't know you liked seafood that much and I'm impressed that Nate made them for you. I love Spencer's ten things about you. Happy Modder's Day!

LOL Happy to hear you only weight 95 lbs. :) Kids say the silliest things. Last year Caylee kept asking me what I wanted for Mother's day and I said I wanted to sleep in...then on the things they made at school she wrote "my moms favorite thing to do is sleep all day"

Oh, how sweet! I loved the mugs and the yummy dinner. Sounds delicious. The note from Spencer was hilarious! Now you know Beth, it wasn't him, it was just his brain...:)
And way to go Preston for riding with no training wheels!
