We had a nice day on Addelyn's birthday. Hard to believe it's been four years. In a lot of ways it seems like it's been way longer than that.
The night before her birthday we took Addelyn's flowers to her at the cemetery so she would have them all day on her birthday. Nate was out of town so the kids and I sat and ate a picnic dinner next to Addy's headstone and then we played in the sprinklers at the cemetery, admired the beautiful sunset, and headed home.
The next day, Nate was back in town and we all went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner and the kids loved it! It was our first time there. We think Addy would have liked it. What four year old doesn't love spaghetti?:)
We explored Trolley Square a little and then we headed home to pick up Addy's balloons and cake and ice cream and headed to the cemetery for her party.
We had our traditional party for our Angel and released her balloons to heaven. It was a nice day in honor of our baby.
My favorite quote of the day was from Preston. Nate asked the boys who Addy lives with in heaven. Preston said, "She lives with Jesus, Heavenly Father, Oliver, and Mary and Joseph." :)
We are so appreciative of all those who remembered Addelyn's birthday. Thank you for the cards, flowers, texts, visits, hugs and love:).
