UEA Picnic 2011

We took advantage of Fall break from school by heading up to Mueller Park for our annual picnic.  We roasted hot dogs and ate apples with caramel dip and had a treasure hunt in the woods.
Spencer couldn't get enough of exploring the creek
Lauryn took advantage of Grandma hauling the cart for our firewood back and forth
It was SO pretty up there!
We couldn't get enough of the beautiful surroundings.

Roasting dogs with Grandma
Mmm...a delicious picnic!
My sister Tammy and her family joined us
Lauryn and Grandma

Hunting for hidden candy
Our sucker tree
Preston and Lauryn peeking through the bridge
Spencer loves to climb trees!
We had such a fun day.  We had only planned on staying for a couple of hours but we were having such a great time that we ended up staying for several hours.
My family has been going on this picnic since before I was born.  I remember going with my Grandma Dangerfield when I was little.
And now it's so fun to see how much my kids love going with their Grandma.  Good times and even better memories!

What a fun tradition! I love the ones that we've been doing since we were kids and now take our own kids along to.
