Preston weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz.

Preston at 4 Months.
6 Months old!
Preston is very ambitious. He rolled over for the first time at 2 weeks old. That's when I knew I had my hands full! And he was so eager to play with Spencer, that he was crawling at 6 months, and walking at 10 months.
Is this not the most adorable picture?
Our happy boy!
Can I be any cuter?
It's Birthday Time!
This morning, Preston got to chose what we had for breakfast and he chose BLUE pancakes. So we put candles on his pancakes and sang to him.
For Preston's birthday this year we went to Chuck E Cheese. He loved it. None of us had ever been there before. Two of Preston's favorite things are playing games, and PIZZA! So how can life get any better than Chuck E. Cheese? We all had fun. The boys could have stayed all day.
Come on BIG money.....
Preston requested an Elmo cake with candles and this is what he got. I was actually quite proud because I thought it turned out really cute and Preston LOVED it which is all that mattered.
Then that night we had some family and friends over for Preston's Birthday party. Preston got a red wagon, a pretend birthday cake to play with, and a puzzle among lots of other fun gifts. He sang "Happy Birthday" to himself over and over and over and I have to say, it was adorable every time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRESTON!!!
Enjoying some cake and ice cream with friends
After a night of partying, Preston went to bed at 11:30 and by the time we laid him down, he was asleep before we could shut his door. He had such a fun day and he loved every minute.
Preston has always been so loving and sweet. He is very polite and often says things like, "Mom! Thank you so much for making this delicious sandwich for me!" And "Mom, give me a love." Then while he is hugging me he says, "Oh... I love you." His nursery teachers tell me all the time how polite he is in class. Preston is SO enthusiastic. He gets so excited over the littlest things and makes us smile all the time. He adores his big brother Spencer. It breaks my heart literally, to know that my Preston is 3 years old. He is starting to lose some of those baby features that I love so much about him. I know he will always be cute, but I don't want my baby to grow up any more.
So I know this is a huge post, but Birthdays are a big deal at our house. To me, Birthdays are not about spending a ton of money, or doing spectacular things. They are about celebrating life and the significance those loved ones have in our lives. We focus on making our kids feel so special and loved on their birthday. We want them to know how amazing it is that they are here on this Earth, and how grateful we are that they are a part of our family. Now that we have lost one member of our family, we are that much more grateful for the true miracle that life is. And we are much more aware that life can be here one moment, and gone the next. Birthdays are a BIG deal!
So now the countdown begins for Preston's NEXT birthday. He is already asking how many more days... 364 and counting... Thank you to all of our family and friends for coming to celebrate Preston with us. And thank you so much for the wonderful gifts. He loved everything he got.
We love you so much Preston!!!
