While the kids and I were off exploring Liberty Park and other fun activities, Nate was backpacking with his Dad, Brother, and my nephew, Jon. They went to the Wind Rivers in Wyoming near Jackson Hole. They went two years ago and were hoping to make it an annual tradition, but then they weren't able to go last year because of Nate's surgery. So they were more than ready to go again this year.

(Jon, Brian, and Nate)
They drove up Wednesday night and camped out. Then Thursday morning they hike about 6 miles in to one of the millions of lakes up there and set up camp. Then they fished, read, hiked, talked and laughed for the next 3 days.

Nate's scary mosquito net hat. Apparently quite affective at keeping out the bugs though. The mosquitoes up there are just suffocating.

They had a great time! Nate's ankle held up well and I am proud to report that Nate caught the most fish of anybody (he was very proud:).

And although it was hard being without our Daddy, we are glad that he got some guy time to get away and do something he really enjoys for a few days. But we are really glad he's home:).
(And thanks to Craig for taking these pictures so that I have something to document:)
