Father's Day

Before Father's day, the boys made Nate his very own custom soccer ball. They painted it and wrote special messages to him with markers.

Then on Father's day, we started Daddy off by letting him sleep in. Then we served him with breakfast in bed. Nate had requested French Toast casserole, sausage, fresh squeezed orange juice, and milk. We added a fruit parfait to his request:). The boys also made him special cards to read while he ate.

After he enjoyed his breakfast he opened his gift from the kids.

I think he really liked it:).

Then we let Nate relax and enjoy a leisurely Sunday morning before we headed off to church. The boys sang some Father's day songs with the Primary. Then after church we went to Grandma and Grandpa Monson's for dinner before Nate headed out of town for work.

Nate's other Father's day gift did not arrive in time so he didn't get to open it on Father's day. But he will get to open it when he comes home. We hope he had a nice Father's day and we hope he knows what a wonderful Daddy he is. We love him so much and we're so grateful that he's OUR Daddy!

Nate's breakfast in bed doesn't even hold a candle to my Nate's bagel and cream cheese he got to eat...

Lucky for me he doesn't read your blog. ;)

The hand-painted soccerball is a great idea. I'm going to store that away for potential future use! Glad he had a great day. Everyone looks happy!
