They figured me out...

I knew this day would come. Here's the conversation I had with Spencer in the car:

Spencer: "Mom. There is another boy at school whose name is Spencer. Is he in first grade?"

Me :"I don't know. Is he in your class?"

Spencer: "No. Is Mrs. James' class a kindergarten class too?"

Me: "Yes. They are in kindergarten."

Spencer: "Is Mrs. Hutchins class in kindergarten?

Me: "I'm not sure which grade Mrs. Hutchins teaches. They might be in kindergarten."

Spencer: "Hmm... Well I'll just ask Daddy when he gets home cause he knows lots of stuff."

I'm cracking up! But that's AWFUL! Oh, Beth!!!! :) How do you react to that one? Kate pulled something like that for me when I was driving at night through a scary construction zone in Kaysville. She said that she wished Daddy was with us and when I asked her why she said "because he's a really safe driver."
You gotta love these kids-so honest.

Tell Nate I'm sorry to assume he hasn't been studying the school's staff manual. ;)
