Home Improvements

With all the drama of Nate's surgery and the pregnancy/birth of Lauryn, I never blogged about all the home projects we had going on during that time. We finished our basement (for the most part). Nate, with a lot of help from family and friends, did everything himself except install the fireplace insert, and install the carpet. (I will take credit for most of the painting, choosing all the finishes/colors, a whole lot of caulking, and TONS of clean up and organizing)

Here is the Family Room

The Media Room (no more little hands reaching the DVDs:)

Future home of a pool/game table

Future home of the kitchenette

My favorite part, the kids play house

The hallway

Storage Room (newly organized)

Cold storage with the newly built shelves

The Playroom

The exercise room

The office

My craft area of the office

And there is a bathroom as well that is about 50% of the way finished.

I also decorated Lauryn's nursery pretty much by myself during Nate's recovery (thanks to my brother-in-law for putting up the chair rail:)

I love how it turned out and I think Lauryn likes it too:)

So that was a little much to be cramming into a 6-month period but we love how it has turned out. Nate did a wonderful job and we are so grateful for all the help we received. There won't be anymore home improvement projects going on around here anytime soon. Whew!

Oh, I love it Beth!! You need to go into interior design or something. Great choice on colors and decorating! I know you are not quite done yet but we need to come over and check it out.

You have a HUGE house! I can't believe all that space. Everything looks so beautiful and fresh. I love it. The little openings and arched doorway for the play area are perfect. Lauryn's room is painted the perfect shades of girl. You are NEVER allowed over to my house because it sucks compared with yours. :) I'm trailer trash over here in comparison. I hope you are happy with yourself because it's amazing.
