Where does the time go....

So apparently... it's December! I wish someone would have told me sooner. I haven't blogged for almost a month. I wish I could say it's because I've been really, really busy but that wouldn't be true. I am just a slacker. And I have forgotten to take my camera to all of our festive holiday events so I don't have any pictures to post. So I figured I would just give a boring update because I'm sure all my fans are worried sick:).

Nate and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary in November. We are relieved to be past the 7 year itch. Whew!! We went out to celebrate and had a fun night on the town.

Thanksgiving was fun. We were supposed to have dinner with Nate's family this year but they decided to abandon us (no offense Andrea). So we found other family members who were willing to hang out with us. My sister's family is small and my family is small so we combined forces and had dinner together at my house. And my parents joined us. After dinner we played a rousing game of Pictionary and made fun of each other. Then we ate more. It was delicious and fun.

Then the day after Thanksgiving we ventured out on our annual Christmas tree hunt(I forgot the camera). It was a blast as usual. And I think I can safely say that we got the best tree we have ever had. I did take some pictures and they in no way do it justice but you get the idea.

It is about 12 feet tall and gorgeous. I was tempted to just plop it in the family room and not even decorate it at all because it's so pretty. But that wouldn't have been much fun for the boys. I took lots of video of the boys decorating the tree... but still no pictures.

We started off December with putting up the Christmas decorations and we now watch The Polar Express, and Frosty the Snowman on a daily basis. What else are we supposed to do when it's 15 degrees outside?

Last Sunday was the Christmas Box Angel Ceremony and Nate and I were asked to speak. It was a terrifying but humbling experience. It was a nice evening.

And now, here we are. See I told you there is no reason for my lack of blogging. I wish I could say we were in Tahiti for Thanksgiving and barely got back in time to pack for our cruise through the Mediterranean but I have no excuses. I'll try to be a better blogger and a better mother and take a picture once in a while. Let's hope my next post is more rewarding...

You butt heads... I would have loved to hear you speak!

Oh and your tree is amazing! I had a really tall one years back when I did the real thing, and it was always my favorite. I love when they have to sit right in the vault cause they're so tall!

That tree really is beautiful. Thanks for letting me steal my parents. I figure a few times a year isn't too much to ask for... :) What is the Christmas Box Angel? I remember it vaguely on your blog...I think....last year...?

Wow! That tree is perfect! And you have tall ceilings to show it off. I just had a flashback to the Griswald unveiling of their tree. It's beautiful!

I can't believe you spoke at the Christmas Box Angel Ceremony - That would be so scary! Good for you! I can't believe what a big-girl thing that was for you to do. Way to go! I wish I could have heard you. I'd love to know what you said. Bravo! You're making a difference for sure.
