On Wednesday, our friend Brianna invited us to go to Discovery Gateway with her and her two girls (I forgot my camera). We had not been before and were excited to check it out. It was awesome and we had so much fun. All of the kids had a great time and they loved burning off some stored up energy since it's too cold to play outside. We did have a little incident with Spencer opening the emergency exit door while Brianna was supposed to be watching him (she gets distracted easily). So once the alarms stopped going off and Spencer stopped crying, we got back to playing. Just kidding Brianna:) It was quite humorous and I think we all learned a good lesson.
After a few hours of discovering, we headed back to my house. Brianna was gracious enough to drive us all. When we pulled into the driveway, Brianna informed Marlee, her 2 1/2 year old, that they needed to run into my house and change baby Jordyn's bum before they headed back to Layton. So we all unloaded the car and headed into the house. I carried Jordyn and followed my boys in while Brianna was getting Marlee out of the car. As soon as we got into the house, I set Jordyn down. Spencer came over to me and said, "Mom, is Jordyn's mom going to change her bum?" And I said "Yeah". And then Spencer looked at Jordyn and I could tell he was a little concerned. Spencer looked back at me and said, "Well, what's she gonna do with the old one?"
Spencer made a good point. It's so funny to think about how literally kids take what we say. I have to step back and think about what I say and how a 4 year old is going to interpret it. But it sure made for a good laugh.
Thanks for such a fun day Brianna, Marlee, and Jordyn! Don't ever change!

SUPER cute! I gotsta meet these little men one day! Seriously, it's not like you live down the street or anything!
We had so much fun too! Who would think that the one thing kids can't touch is the emergency exit... what kinda low budget establishment did we go to?!! ;)
We'll have to go again real soon and keep me posted about baby animal day.
I love the changing bum line! So funny. And I love the Gateway. It is such a nice little getaway for the kids!
I hate working. I know, I know, that line gets old. Who know's if I would have been invited anyway. But, some day I'll be able to join in the fun again, right?
