We celebrated Nate's birthday several weeks ago. His big day fell on a Saturday, which normally would be great, but he had school that day:(. So we gave him a few gifts to open before he had to leave. Followed by a homemade breakfast consisting of french toast with strawberries, bacon, and hash browns. The boys chose the menu.
Then after the Birthday Boy got home from school, we dropped Lauryn off at Grandma & Grandpa's and the boys and I took Nate to see a 3-D showing of The Lorax (his birthday request was to do something fun with the boys).
Then we picked up Lauryn and took Nate to dinner and then back home for his birthday treat.

He had requested berry trifle.
We sang Happy Birthday and played a few games to top off the day.
