A couple of weeks ago when we had the major wind storm, my parents came over to charge their cell phone and eat dinner with us since their power had been out all day. I made some turkey noodle soup and cornbread so we all sat down to eat and Nate asked Spencer to say the blessing on the food. He reminded Spencer to bless all those people who had their power out that the power would come back on soon and the wind would stop blowing so it wouldn't cause anymore damage. Spencer interrupted Nate and said, "Dad! I know! My teacher already told me that Mother Nature is the most deadly thing on Earth!"
(After which, Spencer said a beautiful prayer asking for "The winds to calm." It seemed very mature for a 7 year old:).

I love that you got carried away with the frosting (two posts ago)! Spencer and Preston look awesome. I also love your annual tradition of getting a REAL Christmas tree. The snow bunny picture is my favorite. :) And way to go Spencer on losing his teeth! Just in time to sing that wonderful song with a real lisp.
He definately now has his own understanding of how crazy Mother Nature can be. What a mess that storm caused!
Sweet, faith-filled prayer to remember. :)
