For moms, family vacations are not generally considered a "vacation" because of all the work that goes into preparing, traveling with kids, enduring the vacation itself, and then being thrown back into real life and having to play catch-up with school, etc. But even with all that, we still had an awesome trip and it was well worth all the work!
We drove to California and the kids did great. Can't put a price tag on vehicles with DVD players:). We spent several days in Disneyland and then spent our last day in California at the beach relaxing and exploring. Lauryn was really sick pretty much the whole time we were there. We spent part of one night in the ER with her thinking she might have croup or an ear infection. But of course, it was just a virus and there was nothing they could do for her. But she was such a trooper!

On the way out of the park on our last day, Preston collapsed and threw a fit. Nate asked what was wrong and Preston said, "I'm NEVER EVER coming back to Disneyland again!!!" Nate asked why not, and Preston said, "Because Disneyland makes me TIRED, TIRED, TIRED!!!"

How FUN. I'm so glad you guys got to do that! I love Disneyland. I'm sorry Lauryn got sick but I'm glad it all turned out ok. P.S. Your new family pictures are beautiful Beth. You look amazing- I really like your hair. You kids are as cute as ever (as always) and Nate looks good too. I sure wish I could see you more often.....:)
I'm so glad you had a good time. Doesn't it just make you giddy when you walk into the park on that first day and you realize that really you're just a kid at heart too? I loved that feeling!
That is spectacular! How lucky that you had some extra adults to help with the little people. You need that at Disneyland! That place is fun on steroids. I love Preston and the chips! I love Preston's "Tired" response. He is a funny kid. So fun. Too bad Lauryn was sick. You feel for them when they don't feel well because there is nothing you can do to help them feel better. P.S. your hair makes me want to cut mine. It's such the perfect length. Welcome back to real life in cold Utah! Those palm trees are addicting.
