Spencer started Kindergarten yesterday. He has been SO excited to start school. We have met with his teacher a couple of times already and she is AMAZING! So I have been really excited for Spencer to start school because I know he's going to love it.
Waiting in the freezing rain for the bus to come...
I had been preparing myself not to have a panic attack as he got on the bus and I did really well. But watching the bus pull away with my tiny 5 year old inside was pretty heart wrenching.
Pardon the umbrella covering up half the picture (I was holding Lauryn, the umbrella, and two cameras. It's the best I could do)
I really couldn't be too upset because he had a huge grin on his face and he is SO ready to start Kindergarten. I had to keep reminding myself that it's going to be ok. Thank heavens I have Preston and Lauryn to keep me company at home.
I'm not saying it's not nice to have Spencer gone for a few hours every day:)... but it sure makes you realize that your "little" kids aren't so little anymore... when you watch them drive away on a school bus.

This is cute. I think school is sounding more and more scary to me. 5 is so young and yet so old at the same time. I hope I handle the first day, next year, as well as you did.
