The other day we were at my Parent's house and my Mom was talking to Spencer about Preschool. She told him that she bet he was going to learn about groundhogs day this week. He frankly told her that he already knew all about groundhogs day. I was surprised by his response so I asked him why we have groundhogs day and he said, "It's the day we play with groundhogs." Obviously...
So since today was groundhogs day, I asked him what he learned about at Preschool and he excitedly reported, "We learned about how the hedgehog came out of his hole and got scared and ran back in and now we have six more weeks of Winter!"
So there we have it. I think we've all learned something. And might I just add, what a lame excuse for a "holiday" groundhogs day is.

Almost as lame as Valentine's Day! ;)
P.S.- It's also nice to know that next time I bring a groundhog over, Spencer will know exactly what to do with it. ;) ;)
But I LOVE the movie! That's about all the holiday is good for,
Ok, agreed. No one had any better ideas for a good holiday to follow the Christmas season? So, who was the dork that stood to say, "What about a day that we can celebrate an animal that no one really knows it's purpose, and we could all sit around a hole and see what happens when he comes out!" Good one!
