5 Years, 4 months, 18 days & 15 hours...

I have been a mother for 5 years, 4 months, and 18 days and I have been dreading today. Today we started our first bout of the stomach flu. I do not say this with disappointment or reluctance, I am saying it because I am proud that we have managed to escape the misery of the stomach flu for this long. We have been extremely blessed that we have not been hit until today. Not only is it miserable, and disgusting...it is one of a Mother's most challenging feats to watch her child suffer and be in pain, and not be able to do a thing about it other than to comfort them and take care of them.

So far Spencer is the only victim, but I know how it works. Preston will probably be stricken within the next couple of days. And Nate and I may not escape the wrath either. So here's to 5 good years!! Our streak had to end at some point. But I am so proud we made it this far and I felt it was worth mentioning;).

Get well soon Spence!

Crappy! And here we went and kept you out so late and then you had to deal with this... yuck!

Get well soon Spencer, and I hope it doesn't get you all.

Oh, no! That is really good to have gone that long. I am so sorry....you must be exhausted. Let me know if there is anything that I can do!

I can't believe you have escaped the stomach flu for that long. I swear we have it every year!

Katelyn just had it this past friday and she threw up 10 times! I felt so bad for her but luckily she was back to her normal self the next day. Of course it just doesn't stop there and Todd ended up getting it as well and Amber had a very mild case. I was the only lucky one to escape it. Cross my fingers!

Oh that sucks! I'm amazed you made it five years without the flu- that should be a world record!
