The New Love of My Life/Monson Family Reunion

On Saturday, Nate's Mom and Dad hosted a family Reunion for those of their few family members currently living in Utah. We started off the day at the zoo. I was so excited to go to the zoo (even though we go there often) because the baby elephant was going to be out (FINALLY). And... this is where I was introduced to the new Love of My life, and here she is... She is SO stinkin' cute!! If you have seen pictures of her on the news/etc., and you thought she was cute, she is 9 times cuter in real life. She would run around and trip over her giant feet. And play with her ball and roll around in the mud and then run into something. It was so funny to watch her. And then she would run right back to her Mommy to get a love. SO CUTE!!! Here is a short video of her. Only the first 9 seconds are good because then she goes and hides.

Anyway, after the 3 1/2 hours we spent watching her, we made our way around the rest of the zoo. We saw the baby giraffe (also ADORABLE)... The 3 baby tiger cubs... And of course the baby snow leopard. It was a stellar day at the zoo. So if you get a chance in the next week or two, GO to the zoo while the babies are all little! Here we are at the bird show (in our matching shirts). And now we are about to ride the train. Left to right: Craig, Sandy, Preston, Brandon, Brian, Jaimee, Spencer, and Nate. We are only missing: Chris, Lisa, Matthew, Alyssa, Emma, Connor, Andrea, Mike, Kaelynn, and Mindi! We missed you guys!!!

After the zoo we went back to Craig and Sandy's for lunch, the everlasting BYU game, and then a delicious dinner followed by awards and a delicious dessert. Thanks for a fun day Grandma and Grandpa!

I love family outings with cousins and grandparents. The zoo is so fun but the babies make it even better! I need to get over there with Kate. I love your explanation of what the baby elephant does and especially that it would run over to its mama after a while for more loves. So cute.

We were there in spirit! I'm glad you guys had a fun time. It's at times like those I really miss being away from the fam. Thanks for posting the baby elephant video. That was precious. :)

We haven't made it to the zoo once this year and it sounds like we need to go SOON and see all those cute babies!

I have been watching the news and also fell in love with Zuri! I pull her picture up on my computer at work and leave it in the corner while I'm working because she makes me smile! I want to see her and the other babies so badly!! I had better get ourselves down there. :)
